A quick wrap-up of the 2021 foaling and breeding season, as well as news of a new Indiana stallion and current stallions moving farms for 2022.
Consignor Elise Kendall is offering a registered Indiana-bred filly by Grade 1 winner Palace and out of the stakes-placing producer Bring Me Luck during the sale as Hip #61. The bay filly features a well-balanced build and a strong hip.
Over the course of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, all 10 Indiana-bred yearlings consigned to the sale went home to new barns and new destinations. The sale, which was breaking records before the second week was complete, saw the total for Indiana-bred yearlings selling totaling $483,500, a record in recent years.
Today, buyers want more: more horse, more heart, more trips to the winner’s circle. That’s why it’s important to look at the later books during Keeneland’s prestigious sale – to get more bang for the buck.
Forty horse racing enthusiasts gathered to tour the backside of Indiana Grand. While enjoying free refreshments, guests were treated to an inside look of a horse racing barn and meet two jockeys-turned-actors, thanks to trainer Brandi Steele and the Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance.
Breeders and consignors of Indiana-bred and Indiana-sired horses planning to sell at sales in Kentucky and Indiana this fall and winter are invited to take part in a unique opportunity with the Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance (ITA).
